In the interest of providing some clear vision on where I’m headed, here are some of the things you, as a patron, can expect from me.
On the fiction side, I am working primarily on two projects at the moment. First, my SciFi novel Universus Respondet: Fermi’s Paradox Answered—a Novel is in the hands of beta readers right now. I will have their feedback in the middle of September, and by the end of October should be ready to publish it.
As part of that process, I will also be posting a series of how-to blog posts as I go along, which will cover using Scrivener version 3 to compile a publication-ready manuscript for both ebook and print publication. In addition, this will cover taking the document compiled by Scrivener and creating a book using InDesign CC (a topic that appears to be barren of useful tips, so far).
The other fiction project in my pipeline at the moment is a new SciFi novel Red Zone Human. Since I basically just started this, I will post more details about it—including exclusive snippets and some behind-the-scenes stuff as I create it, such as NaNoWriMo write-ins—for patrons. Beta reading opportunities for that novel will be offered first to the top-tier patrons here.
I also have a fantasy book series planned (and book one partly written), and patrons will get early or exclusive access to the process of that, as well.
Besides the posts on compiling from Scrivener and using InDesign to create publication-ready manuscripts, I am also going to put up polls for the Voting tier patrons to help decide what other CloudAgeâ„¢ Author/Indie Publisher topics I should blog about, and get feedback on other topics as well.
Most of these how-to/tips posts will be early-access for all tiers of patron. Patrons will get at least 30 days of access to these posts before I post them for public access. Some will always be exclusive for patrons.
Any and all feedback is welcomed, and if you have ideas for other cool things you, as a patron, would like to see as a perk for being in a given tier, drop me a note!
